I am artiste, here me roar

Bio

Paul Trottier lives and works in Saskatoon with his wife Gina and three beautiful active daughters. He has worked at the University of Saskatchewan for over twenty years in numerous capacities and is currently the director of the Emma Lake Kenderdine Campus. Self professed as a life-long learner and lover of life, Paul loves to create, and be engaged in the pursuit of knowledge in nature. Spending his summers at Emma Lake occupied with education and art affords him the opportunity to exercise these passions.

Paul is part of the painting group ‘Men Who Paint” in Saskatoon, sits on the board of directors for the Saskatchewan Ecol-Network, tries to stay physically active, is a good angler, and runs his kids to their activities just to fill the rest of his time. Others have called him part-gypsy due to his search for the sights and adventures that travel affords, choosing to immerse him-self in the experiences of new places and people. Paul’s interest in art and painting in his early years is largely due to the influence of his father, but also to his intimate sense of place. Paul’s practice of reflection, thirst for knowledge, interest in people and spaces, and deep love of his home are all delivered on canvass through vibrant painterly strokes and colors.
